The design of this tile mimics the letter 'B.' The separation of boxes also touches on a temporary living arrangement wherein my parents and I lived in two different apartments on the same floor; I lived in one while my parents lived in another just down the hallway.
Baltimore never really felt like home until I left for college. I don’t know anyone, which when I lived there was a big bummer. Now, it’s just something that allows me to really relax when I go home—to spend time with my family, who all ended up in Maryland and within an hour’s drive from each other.
